EVA Day 2: Marketing your internet business blog

EVA Day 2 has happened! In the meantime I’ve re-established EVA (and a slew of other controversial topics) on this new blog site: Trailblazing Life.

If you don’t know EVA, I’ll give you a chance to catch up by reading, “We Quit Our Jobs! Can we make money online?” and “The first steps to starting an internet business”.

Presenting Yaro's Blog Profit Blueprints

On Day 2 of the EVA Blogging Competition,  the Traveller presented on Yaro Starak’s “Blog Profits Blueprint”, an ebook I came across in July 2008, which originally convinced us that it was possible to make an Internet business out of a blog.

Yaro’s free tips, which I really appreciate have established him as the expert when it comes to creating a profitable blog.

However, here I am 2 years later and I’m not making 6 figures like Yaro. I also haven’t implemented all of his strategies, so that’s what we’re tyring to do with EVA: implement all of the Blog Profits Blueprint strategies to see if we can make money online as so many websites promise–without losing our integrity.

What we accomplished during the second meeting of the EVA Blogging Competition:

• After getting help to choose a new theme, the Bush Chick powered on posting to the Australian Bush Life Blog (her goal was to get her post count above 15–and you can see she is WELL BEYOND that now!)
• The Traveller got Golf, Camp, Wine Australia up and running; a new Wordpress theme was installed and she planned her content strategy.
• The Trailblazer received great feedback on her new blog ideas and planned her content strategy.
• Then, we decided to make homemade pasta and after beer o’clock we opened a bottle of beautiful wine!

But, as always, before we quit for the day we made a (marketing) plan:

• We’ve decided to meet up on February 23rd (it’s a deadline).
• We each have roles and responsibilities. I’m in charge of researching affiliations through book reviews, such as Amazon.
• We each have to do 10 blog posts on other blogs/week.
• We each have to do a 3 post series.
• And I have to get my content count much higher since I’ve created a whole new blog!

Do you think we’re on the right track?( Our first goal is to make $1000.00 from our website).
