EVA Day 2: Marketing our blog on Amazon?

March 5, 2010
By admin

This was the day (insert photos) we actually signed the contract.

After our second EVA Blogging Day, we spent time individually marketing and writing more content. Well, some of us had to write more content.

The Bush Chick was trucking a long with content about growing Indigenous plants in Australia. But some of us decided to create new blogs after our first session.

For instance, I decided to move my blog off of my business blog and to start more of a hobby blog. Voila: trailblazinglife is something that interests me because (quite by accident) I always seem to be doing things people warn me against (like fostering kittens). Or, things I feel like warning myself against (like writing a novel).

The third EVA blogging competitor started a new site: Golf, Camp, Wine Australia, too. So both she and I have spent the past two months creating content and flushing out topic ideas (and running our businesses full time on the side…).

We all left our second EVA session with marketing “to do” lists. I was in charge of learning more about Amazon Affiliate programs. I have to say, other than adding links, I haven’t learned a whole heap.

So I’m appealing to my blog audience for help: why do you use Amazon? And do you make money from being an Amazon Affiliate?
