About
The people in your life who advise you not to do something are fond of you; I believe their caution is a desire is to buffer you from things they fear, such as your unhappiness.
However, my biggest buffer in life is my own fear of failure. But the things I’ve feared doing so often turn out to be things I’ve loved! Like rock climbing for instance. Loved it as a kid, stopped doing it for a few years–and suddenly the suggestion to go again seemed ludicrous.
So this blog is to keep me honest. I’m going to put down my fears and the ones I surmount as a record of what I can do when I let myself do it. And to encourage myself (maybe even others) not to let fear of failure get in your way.
I’ve structured this blog around all the things I’ve felt I should be warned against, and I hope to reveal what happened with each of these choices. Along the way I’ve often felt isolated because of my choices. But I’ve also felt joy so deep I can feel it in my liver.
The Trailblazinglife Blog is about a person who is doing things differently in order to achieve happiness–not lose it.
You’ll know (what I consider to be) major choices I’ve made in my life by the categories of the blog.
And, yes, while I may be notoriously stubborn, this blog is more about than hard-headedness. This blog is about living your values every day so you feel happiness each day.
